The mission of the Corrigan Municipal Court is to serve the community through the promotion of justice by providing an impartial forum for the resolution of all cases brought before the court in a manner such that legal rights of individuals are safeguarded and public interest is protected.
The Municipal Court is responsible for the disposition of Class C misdemeanors and other state and city ordinance violations which are punishable by fine only.
Notice the Municipal Court will start an amnesty program starting February 1st,2023, and will continue until the end of May 2023. If you have citations and have been issued a Failture to Appear then contact the court or the payment group for help with getting the failture to appear dismissed upon payment of the citation.
Corrigan Municipal Court has jurisdiction over Class C Misdemeanor criminal cases, including traffic violations, with a maximum fine upon conviction does not exceed $500.00 plus court costs. The Court also has jurisdiction over cases involving City ordinances, which may have fines up to $2,000 plus court costs.
The Municipal Court does not handle divorce cases, child support, marriage licenses, or birth certificates.
THE DRESS CODE AND RULES ARE STRICTLY ENFORCED. THE DEFENDANT WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE COURT AND RETURN IF NOT IN COMPLIANCE WITH THIS CODE.
Clothing should be consistent with the seriousness and dignity of the judicial process. It should be constructed and worn in such a manner that it is not unduly revealing or offensive.
A telephone call does not constitute an appearance.
THE FOLLOWING WILL NOT BE PERMITTED IN THE COURTROOM:

Commercial Driver License Holders are not eligible for Driving Safety Course or Deferred Disposition.
To obtain any Public Information the following request is the proper way to get information.
Submit a request by mail, e-mail, or in person, or any other appropriate method approved by the governmental body.
Include enough description and detail about the information requested to enable the governmental body to accurately identify and locate the information requested.
Cooperate with the governmental body's reasonable efforts to clarify the type or amount of information requested.

- NO CLOTHING WITH OFFENSIVE, VULGAR, RACIST, SEXIST, OBSCENE, OR SUGGESTIVE WORDS, SLOGANS, DEPICTIONS OR PICTURES.
- NO PANTS THAT ARE TATTERED, SHREDDED OR THAT EXPOSE SKIN.
